Lithographic Masking: The ruby red transparent UPVC backing is visually translucent, yet photographically opaque. These backing features, combined with a long aging, transfer-resistant adhesive, allow 3M 616 Lithographic Tape to work well for many lithographic stripping applications in the graphic arts industry.	Very high temperature Masking: The extreme temperature resistance of the polyimide film backing, combined with the high temperature properties and transfer resistance of the silicone adhesive system, allow 3M 5413 Polyimide Tape to work well to help protect the gold fingers on these circuit boards during the wave solder.	Rivet holding: Low stretch polyester backing with adhesive zone coated edges and a tack free centre window allows 3M 685 Riveting Tape to hold rivets in place during the bucking process without trapping.

Colour Coding: The 3 available colours of the printable flat back paper backing, combined with the high immediate adhesion of the rubber resin adhesive system, allow 3M 256 Paper Tape to work well for many miscellaneous colour coding applications such as file marking.	3M Clean-Walk Mats: These adhesive floor mats help remove dirt and contaminants from shoe soles, wheels and other passing objects on contact. To expose an adhesive surface, just peel the top sheet back. Each mat includes 30 adhesive layers, mounted on a 2mm polyethylene backing.	Venting: The air permeable, non-woven backings of 3M Venting Tapes keep foam-in-place insulation inside door and appliance cavities, at the same time helping eliminate voids.
