3M offers a line of tapes to help protect your product from scratching, marring and chipping. We offer rugged 2-5mm products for a multitude of applications that help prevent damage to your surface. 3M Protective Tapes peel off easily. Most of these tapes have a special acrylic adhesive which typically leaves no residue upon removal. There are several backings to choose from: Polyethylene - 2-5mm backings available in transparent. Co-Excluded "A" Film - 2 and 2.5mm backings available in transparent, blue and white. "E" Film - A 2mm transparent backing, used to produce carpet tape. Co-Extruded Black / White Film - A 3mm black / white backing, used to produce our outdoor resistant tape. Polyester - A 1mm transparent backing. Polypropylene - A 2mm transparent backing. Automobile Light Fixtures: Some applications require a thicker, more abrasion resistant backing. This helps ensure a scratch-free substrate during shipping and assembly. Suggested product: 3M 5112 Protective Tape. Optional product: 25A12, 3112, 4125 Tapes.	Marble Sinks and Spas: A Protective Tape should be applied to the sink or spa during shipment and installation.
