Tough Durable Corrosion Barrier

3M™ Polyurethane Tape 8663 provides a unique combination of toughness, durability, puncture resistance, and ease of application in helping prevent fluid penetration which could result in aircraft corrosion.

Application of 8663 tape over aircraft floor panels establishes a tough durable puncture resistant barrier that helps prevent liquids (water, soft drink, coffee, milk, urine, etc.) from penetrating flooring and becoming a possible source of corrosion.

8663 tape is used as protection against fluid penetration on Boeing 737 and 757 aircraft entry areas, galleys, and lavatories to help reduce possible corrosion damage caused by liquids spilled in these areas.

8663 tape is provided in roll-stock form and is available in widths up to 48" (1,220mm).
